Sampling and Identifying Freshwater Invertebrates (Beginner)
This course is designed for those with little to no experience with freshwater invertebrates.
This two day course will involve the collection and identification of aquatic invertebrates from running water habitats, and will feature sampling methods, bankside sorting and lab-based identification. Course tutor John Davy-Bowker is a knowledgeable freshwater biologist with considerable research and teaching experience. Lunch is provided for the duration of the course.

We have reserved accommodation for participants at YMCA North Camp for the night before the course and the following two nights at £40.00 per night for a twin room. Each room has its own en-suite and access to a small kitchenette with a fridge, kettle, toaster etc. Accommodation at the YMCA is available on a first come, first served basis as there are only 5 twin rooms available.
