Our luxury Lake District holiday accommodation consists of a 3 bedroom cottage and 6 one bedroom luxury apartments. This converted former scientific research building & boathouse has unrivaled views out over the lake, looking towards the majestic fells.

We have a range of apartments that are suitable for families of varying sizes. While a single apartment accommodates two, there is the option of connecting two of these to make room for two more, with our large apartment accommodating up to six people. Feel free to bring the whole family with you and enjoy the comforts of home in a beautiful location. We have all the amenities that you could ever need for that perfect break away including a kitchen fully-stocked with utensils, pots and pans for you to cook up a hearty breakfast before a day’s walking, and to brew a tea to warm yourself at the end of the day (yes – we do provide the tea, the milk and the sugar!).
By staying at Mitchell Wyke, not only do you enjoy spectacular views and ease of access to both the lake and the surrounding areas, your stay also helps to support the Freshwater Biological Association.

Situated at the foot of Claife Heights, you will be perfectly placed to embark on many of the Lake District's beautiful walks. Why not take a gentle stroll along the west shore of Windermere and take in the spectacular views - not forgetting to visit the iconic Wray Castle along the way! For those looking to experience something a little more challenging, tackle one of Wainwright's peaks and hike the 629ft climb up Brant Fell, overlooking Bowness-on-Windermere.
