Big Windermere Survey

The Big Windermere Survey is a Citizen Science project run in partnership with Lancaster University. To date, we’ve carried out four rounds of the Big Windermere Survey - spring, summer, autumn and winter - providing a snapshot of Windermere water quality during each season of the year.
We’re now commencing year two, with the fifth round of the Big Windermere Survey Taking place on Sunday 13 August between 10 and 12 O’clock in the morning.
We’ll be collecting water samples from 110 onshore and offshore sites around the lake and need your help to do so! No previous experience is necessary and it’s a fun day out for all!
